Global Association for Research Methods, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (GrmdsAI) is the continuation of the RM Institute, which has delivered consultation and training in research methods, data science, machine learning, and AI since 2000. Formally established in California as a non-profit in 2016, GrmdsAI is the steward of the intellectual property and ecosystem behind Holistic Computation (HC)—including 4Capital, Causal AI, and the 4Es operating framework. Since 2019, we have established and supported technology labs, developed HC use cases, and served customers and partners across sectors.
Advance rigorous, responsible, and value-aligned research and AI practice—so organizations can turn evidence into reliable, equitable decisions at scale.
Advisory & Lab Enablement — Stand up and modernize analytics/AI labs; design operating models and governance aligned to HC.
Education & Certification — Practitioner-focused programs in research methods, causal inference, forecasting, and responsible AI.
Solution Development — Build and transfer HC use cases in healthcare & wellness, clean-energy operations, and research optimization.
Community & Convening — Connect practitioners and leaders to share proven methods and accelerate impact.
Whole-person health: Earlier risk detection, personalized care pathways, equity-aware delivery.
Energy & infrastructure: Forecasts translated into safe, profitable dispatch, maintenance, and demand response.
Research excellence: Portfolios aligned to clear goals, higher reproducibility, and transparent impact.
Clarify goals and stakeholders across measurable outcomes.
Make assumptions explicit and define decision points before modeling.
Prove value and safety with calibration, robustness, fairness, and decision-value tests.
Deploy with guardrails—policy cards, audit trails, and monitoring for drift and recourse.
Scale what works via shared playbooks, registries, and governance.
We are mission-driven, vendor-neutral, and privacy-first. Our purpose is to build capacity—not dependency—and to help each partner move from data to decisions, and from decisions to impact.
